The most important thing about the creams I make is their function. They need to work. There are enough creams, natural and otherwise on the market, packaged this way and that, claiming wonderful things but……do they work?

All of my creams are the result of a huge amount of research in order to know that, not only are they based on the Jewish wisdom and secrets of the past, but that those wise men knew what they were talking about. The creams have all been tested to make sure that they work. And they do work. And that brings me joy. To show that the ancient Jewish texts up to and including Maimonides were correct even in this respect was very rewarding.

I am researching other creams and health products on the basis of the Kabbalah. They also look very promising.

For obvious reasons I cannot list all the ingredients, the amounts or the preparation methods but here are some.

Kabbalah natural face cream: Directions: Can be used during the day but better as night cream after thoroughly cleansing the face. A partial list of natural ingredients:

Peach kernel oil: (Prunus persica) found worldwide and contains vitamins A and E. The oil is light and penetrates the skin easily, smoothes and moisturizes and is good for mature skin. It is rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids which give it high antioxidant and preservative properties.

Macadamia oil: (Macadamia integrifolia) cultivated worldwide and rich in oleic acid (approx. 60%). This oil is a very good emollient (skin softener and smoother).

Myrrh oil: (Commiphora myrrha). This is regarded as one of the oldest plants to be used for medicinal purposes and can be found in East Africa (Somalia, Eastern Ethiopia) and some of the Arabian countries (Yemen). The oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and is especially good for treating and preventing acne and other skin ailments.

Myrtle oil: (Myrtus) originated in southern Europe and North Africa. This oils is effective in smoothing wrinkles and preventing acne.
Apple seed oil: (Calocarpum Mamossum) rich in linoleic (approx. 49%) and oleic (approx 39%) fatty acids.

Ylang-Ylang oil: (Cananga odorata) normalizes the secretion of sebum from the sebaceous glands (an oily substance for lubricating the skin) and thus treats and/or prevents acne.

Rosehip oil: (Rosa rubiginosa) and contains a high percentage of essential fatty acids and vitamin C. It is very good for dry, weathered skin and is absorbed very quickly by the skin. It has rejuvenating effects and makes the skin more elastic. This oil reduces wrinkles and is effective on sun damaged skin and is a very good emollient.

Lavender oil: (Lavendula augustifolia) is found worldwide but originated in the Mediterranean, tropical Africa and India and has many properties which make it perfect for facial skin care.  The oil is an antiseptic and cytophylactic (like Frankincense) and is also anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral. It aids healing, reduces scarring and balances the skin as well.

Frankincense oil: (Boswellia carterii). It is found in India, Africa and some Arabian countries. The ancient Egyptians (very fond of their cosmetics) used Frankincense gum more than 3,000 years ago as a remedy for wrinkles.  The oil is an antiseptic and cytophylactic which means that it encourages skin cell growth. The Frankincense oil is also an astringent and will balance dry or oily skin, reducing dryness or oiliness. It acts as a tonic to the skin, improving its quality, reducing wrinkles and works for more mature skin too.

Apricot kernel oil: (Prunus armeniaca) originated in India, rich in vitamin A. It helps balance dry skin, is rich in linoleic (approx. 30%) and oleic (approx. 65%) fatty acids and is easily absorbed into the skin. It helps smooth wrinkles and soften the skin.

Grape seed oil: (Vitis vinnifera) helps with damaged skin and is an excellent emollient. It is especially effective around the eyes. It has astringent properties which help tone the skin and the antioxidant properties help fight aging, rejuvenating the skin. It is a great moisturizer, being easily absorbed into the skin.

Bergamot oil: (Monarda didyma) native to eastern USA is a herb which has been used traditionally for skin infections and minor wounds. The oil has both antiseptic and antibiotic properties which help prevent spots.

The combination of these oils in the correct amounts results in a night care, natural face cream whose ingredients were written down hundreds and thousands of years ago by the Jewish sages and whose rejuvenating properties have been confirmed by modern science and medicine. This cream works.
